Environmental Commitments
Environmental performance is integral to our technical approach to remediation, enabling works, and soils management.
Our focus is on applying the principles of the waste hierarchy prioritising prevention, reuse, and recovery over disposal. Through early-stage engagementand robust materials management planning (including CL:AIRE MMPs), we identify opportunities to reuse materials on site or within controlled reuse networks, significantly reducing landfill dependency.
We utilise data-led decision making to optimise environmental outcomes. Through rapid on-site testing, laboratory analysis, and waste classification inaccordance with WM3, we are able to accurately characterise materials, segregate effectively, and select the most appropriate treatment or disposal route. This reduces over-classification, minimises unnecessary haulage, and improves overall carbon efficiency.
Delivery methodologies
Our delivery methodologies are designed to reduce environmental impact at source. This includes:
On-site treatment techniques such as stabilisation/solidification and soil processing to enable reuse
Intelligent stockpile management and segregation to prevent cross-contamination
Optimised logistics planning to reduce vehicle movements and emissions
Real-time environmental monitoring (dust, VOCs, noise, and vibration) to manage site impacts
We actively track and improve our environmental performance across projects, including waste diversion rates, carbon data coverage, and resource efficiency.
Our objective is to continually reduce the environmental footprint of our operations while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.
We also engage with our supply chain to improve environmental performance, implementing structured evaluation processes and working towards increased utilisation of high-performing environmental partners.
Inaddition, we commit to reinvesting a proportion of our success into environmental and community initiatives, ensuring that our impact extends beyond the projects we deliver.
Ultimately, our approach is to deliver technically robust, compliant solutions that minimise environmental impact, maximise resource efficiency, and support a more circular approach to land development.
