Jason from Provectus is fundraising for MS-UK
Jason is to compete in the Colchester Half Marathon on March 12th 2017
We are proud to announce that Jason will be competing in the Colchester Half Marathon for MS-UK, Jason is hoping to raise awareness and money for future research and to help others with this condition.
This is very personal to Jason and all at Provectus. Just over a year ago a dear colleague was diagnosed with MS.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition of the central nervous system. In MS, the coating around nerve fibres (called myelin) is damaged, causing a range of symptoms. More than 100,000 people in the UK have MS. Symptoms usually start in your 20s and 30s and it affects almost three times as many women as men. Once diagnosed, MS stays with you for life, but treatments and specialists can help you to manage the condition and its symptoms.
MS-UK is a national charity based in Colchester, supporting anyone affected by multiple sclerosis to have independence, choice and control. MS-UK provides high quality, professional services such as a Helpline and a bi-monthly magazine, to support people living with multiple sclerosis, and listens to people affected by MS. The MS-UK centre in Colchester, Josephs Court, supports people in the local area to exercise in a safe, fun way.
