Provectus applies largest application of in-situ treatment injection equipment ever used in the world on Glasgow Commonwealth Games site
Over a eight month period, Provectus injected nearly 4 million litres of calcium polysulphate solution on a site contaminated with chromium VI through 28,000m of injection rods.
Having designed and built a bespoke injection system driven by 10 separate injection heads and controlled through an innovative injection unit communicating between themselves across the site using radio frequency (RF), we installed over 8500 points at depths of over 20 feet injecting at multiple horizons. This has never been achieved before. Achieving average productivity of over 100 points per day, high reliability and low maintenance meant the development site was opened on-time for the start of the Games.
The extent and intensity of injection works with this novel technology is unprecedented and a world first.
